Riverside Underwriting Limited (RUL)

Is a wholly owned subsidiary of Riverside International Holdings Limited which includes RUL, Riverside Insurance Agency Malta Limited and Orchard Administration Limited. Founder, Andrew Lawrence is the majority shareholder.

A strong pedigree in B2C and B2B Insurance

RUL was born in April 2007 and started life as Questor Insurance Services Limited, started trading on the 4th August 2007 and has sold at least one policy every day since. That is 6,281 days of continuous trading and counting. Looking at our adjacent timeline you will see we sold our 1 millionth policy in 2015 and continue to go from strength to strength adding new product and upgrading technology.

Since creation of the company, the fundamental overriding concept has been technology and how to apply it to streamline and integrate our business with our partners to make the customer experience as easy and straightforward as possible. Technology has always been at the heart of the distribution model, direct retail, affiliates and wholesale partners using our APIs. Our software is developed by our in-house team and hosted by a world class hosting partner.

Our customer service proposition includes a knowledgeable fully staffed call centre in the UK, also our UK based sister company Orchard Administration that handles all claims have developed an integrated customer service software that allows customers to submit a claim from a single point. This speeds up the processing of claims but also increases the transparency for the customer who can see at any point where they are in the process and any information outstanding.

We are able to support our Partners with EU business via our sister company, Riverside Malta Insurance Agency Limited, domiciled and regulated in Malta by the Malta Financial Services Authority. Riverside Malta commenced trading on the 1st February 2021 simultaneously with Brexit.
